100% Donation Funded

Blue Fire Legacy is a ministry that comes alongside church bodies, missionaries, pastors, and their families to provide speaking, training, and professional care with no cost to clients during times of burnout, personal crisis, or ministry challenges. To accomplish this mission, we are looking to you, our generous supporters to prayerfully consider how God would have you partner with us.

My wife and I have had the privilege of walking with Mark and Dallas Henslee for a little over a year.  Our marriage was in a very difficult place and I didn’t have much hope for seeing any improvement. I  would describe my condition as very tired. As we began to meet with the Henslee’s, individually at first, I was encouraged as I felt I was being heard by Mark regarding the difficulties I was experiencing. I also realized I was being challenged to change my perspective. My perspective always seemed right until someone took the long road to walk around it with me. Eventually my wife and I began to meet together with Mark and Dallas. Some of those meetings were tough but I never came away hopeless. I did say a few times, “I will never do that again”, but always came back to the truth shared and the tools given to walk out transformation if that is what I wanted. As we processed I found something written in their books coming to life before my eyes. The Henslees said that this process was like taking down the fence of our offenses. The more slats you remove from the fence the more you can see the person on the other side. I began to see my wife again. Not as the problems we created together, but as a person who needed help and felt the pain just like me. We are still in process to be sure but we have been given some great tools to help us in the journey. I can say that the weariness of marriage is moving back to a joyful anticipation of the good ahead. My wife and I have been married for almost 27 years, and for the first time in many years, I am looking forward to many more discoveries and life-adventures together.

Donations from individuals and churches are our sole source of funding and are used to further all aspects of the ministry at Blue Fire Legacy.  More specifically, donations are used to provide salaries for the Henslees and McGuires, in addition to covering costs associated with ministry travel, and to provide lodging and services during intensives for individuals, couples, and families being served.

We have committed to a no-debt policy, which simply means that any shortfall discrepancy in the amounts budgeted and received, creates a constraint and forces difficult decisions to be made.  Since no loans will be acquired for the ministry to continue to run, such decisions regarding not paying our staff and/or further limiting ministry activities are incredibly difficult to make.  The graphs on this page summarize the use of funds for the past two years.

Blue Fire Legacy has a policy of using a portion of the funds received to directly support other ministers that we come across who are in need with financial gifts.  This is how we continue giving God the first fruits of what He has blessed us with as a ministry.

Over the lifespan of the ministry, God has sustained us in the face of seemingly insurmountable financial lack.  Our limited donor base has permitted us to minister to church bodies, as well as missionaries, pastors and their families around the world - in places like St. Croix, Ukraine, Czech Republic, Cambodia and Brazil as well as across the United States.

Beyond serving ministers in need without fee by continuing to counsel individuals and families, conduct teachings and conferences, and consult with church boards; plans, and a designated building fund, remain in place to develop the Legacy Heights Retreat Center when sufficient finances become available to do so on a paid in full basis.
